About Our Founder
Frank Frias, BCBA-D, LBA

Dr. Frank Frias initially set out to pursue a career in clinical child psychology but quickly realized that the limited follow-up time with clients would leave them disconnected from the progress they worked so hard to achieve. Discovering ABA changed everything. The ability to work closely with children, collect objective data, and make real-time clinical decisions that directly impact a child’s success was exactly what Dr. Frias was searching for.

After gaining hands-on experience volunteering in an ABA preschool in 2010, Dr. Frias pursued a master’s and doctoral degree in ABA at Teacher’s College, Columbia University in New York City, ultimately graduating with his Ph.D. in 2017. As part of his graduate training, Dr. Frias also received his initial teacher certification in special and general education from birth through grade 6. Dr. Frias has since worked across various settings, including schools, homes, clinics, and community-based programs. These experiences led to the realization that true fulfillment comes from helping children gain independence, enabling them to successfully transition into school settings. This vision became the foundation of Pivot ABA—a company dedicated to ensuring children have the skills and support they need to thrive in school and beyond.
